Place on Earth establishes project teams in cities around the world aiming to involve thousands of young people, their families and friends directly
in creative activities. This growing global Place on Earth constituency will produce an international network of collaborators, a unique body of
research outcomes, quantifiable data, website knowledge sharing materials and the Place on Earth collection of artworks - all with the aim of positioning the voices of young men and women to influence policy for sustainable development and delivery.
Local and international specialists in governance and environmental issues will work with the teams to address local and regional agendas, and in the process encourage greater understanding of and involvement in civil society.
Place on Earth is an evolving initiative, responding and adapting to our rapidly changing economic, political, environmental and cultural landscape
– but always with the aim of ensuring that young people are provided with ongoing and effective opportunities to communicate directly
to their local governments and delegates and stakeholders at the UN to influence the future.
Haring Woods Studio will develop to its full potential this opportunity to bring the experience of young people working on and with environmental issues to policy sessions at the UN and benchmarking good practices from our part of the world into replicable examples for all to implement.
