The project exists as an international public space, freely accessible to all eternally. |  'Public Smog' is a fully liable public entity that functions through buying and retiring emission offsets in regulated emissions markets. | Amy challenges and re-frames the notion of public space in other projects such as Public Smog where she created an oxygen park, which exists in the atmosphere. Amy Balkin’s work questions notions of private and public space but also places the artist as an initiator of social and environmental awarenes. |
