London, UK Deconstructing art practices that involve social engagement as their common methodology Disclosures were a series of events, seminars and an open archive set up in Gasworks gallery space. The exhibition questioned the notion of openness within art production context. Through a series of events and seminars, Disclosures discussed the notion of authorship, participation and the breaking down of social boundaries. The exhibition space at Gasworks was transformed into a film and reading library with the purpose of laying out the critical context in which Disclosures was conceived. All together, Disclosures aimed at critically analyzing socially engaged practices and its origins. Through a variety of works, films and events, this project aims at deconstructing what is really “shared” in collaborative practice.
