Outreach digital art project by Simon Honey
Research Department X is the result of a partnership with digital, outreach artist Simon Honey, Gunpowder Park, Carien Mejier, Head of Arts, Epping Forest DC, Students of The King Harold School, Waltham Abbey, Essex and the Millfield Theatre, Enfield.
Sustained over 3 years, this digital outreach program achieved the objectives for creating awareness of the Gunpowder Park concept at a local level through one to one contact and workshop initiatives. To date the project has been realised through digitally manipulated images projected within a Youth Theatre production with Millfield Theatre, Enfield, a 2D exhibition of digitally manipulated images from workshops with King Harold School. Waltham Abbey (available on loan from the school); and images incorporated into Gunpowder Park marketing literature.
